Halfway between Montignac and Les Eyzies, nestled in a bend of the Vézère river, Saint Leon sur Vézère is a charming town worth a short visit. Once a flourishing port, it is well guarded by its three castles: the Manoir de la Salle at the entrance to the village, Château de Clérans near the river and Château de Chabans up above.
