The garden of Marqueyssac offers more than 6 kilometers of shaded paths designed for walking. Over 150 000 boxwoods were planted in the 19th century and after extensive restoration Marqueyssac was opened to the public in 1997. Today it is the most visited garden in Périgord. The paths are organised into three circuits that all lead to the Belvedere, a balcony 130 meters above the river, which unveils an exceptional panoramic view of the Dordogne valley.
